That separation means leaving this tier empty carries a cost no other tier-to-tier drop on the list can match. If you don't come away with Allen, the next-best QB options are a fundamentally different class of player.

Joe Burrow (QB2, +20.7) and Lamar Jackson (QB3, +14.3) are the only two quarterbacks projecting meaningfully above replacement level outside of Tier 1. The 10.3-point gap below this tier is real but far smaller than the cliff above it, so missing here doesn't sting as badly — though Tier 3 is noticeably thinner value. Securing one of these two is the clearest path to a QB advantage if Allen is off the table.
